Here are some more information for Dvr Unit:
Dvr Available With Satellite TV Through Directv
With the DVR you can actually store hours and hours of programs that you have recorded off of live television, and if you ever run out of space on the DVR you can simply delete old programs to make room for the new ones. If you compare the DVR to the old and almost entirely obsolete VCR (or Video Cassette Recorder) you will really be able to see how far television recording technology has come in the past few years.
The VCR has always been a fun but frustrating device. Due to the primitive technology used in developing the VCR there were always many problems in it’s execution of even the most basic of tasks. For instance, when you wanted to record a show that would air when you were out and about or at work, it had the option to set a timer for recording. The timer itself was a great idea, but many VCR users found that it was not always easy to set up and or it sometimes failed to work altogether even when set up properly. Another problem of the VCR was the speed settings. The old VCR had two speed settings generally, the fast speed setting and the slow speed setting. One setting was meant to get better quality but it took up A LOT more of your tape, and the other setting was meant to save cassette tape space but record at a much lower quality. Many frustrated VCR users found this whole process to be a very confusing one. At the very best, when a viewer made a mistake based on speeds they would record their entire program just at a much lower quality than they would have liked. The most common problem however came for most who tried to save as much cassette tape space as possible. This would be when it was recorded at the higher quality speed and the viewer would end up with only the last half of his or her program recorded!
With DVR these problems will never be a problem again! And now with DirecTV you can get a DVR system for free. When you change over to satellite TV through DirecTV you can now get your very own satellite dish, an authentic Hughes brand receiver, of course the DVR unit, but also a TiVo unit as well, all for FREE! On top of that all of this equipment is installed for free as well! So how can you go wrong?
Another amazing feature of the DirecTV package is the fact that along with all of the free equipment and installation and all of the great channels and parental controls, you have the option of getting duplicates of the necessary equipment and having it all installed in up to 3 other rooms in your home. DirecTV is offering these great deals right now, so it may be a good idea to look into it before it is too late! Now with the internet, you can even jump on it right now! No matter what time it is! At least take a closer look, you will not be disappointed.

How do I connect my VCR to my DVR and my tv?
I have the Comcast Motorola Dual Tuner DVR unit 3416. I have the blue, orange, green, red, white composite cables to connected to input 1 of the tv and the DVR. To input 2 of tv, I have a red, yellow, white component cable hooked the VCR output. The last part I am stuck at. I have a S video cord that I can use but that doesn't give me audio. I also have an extra coaxial cable.
I want my VCR to record off the tv even if the comcast guide is on.. if a show is on, I want to be able to record it to a tape instead of my DVR. I also want to be able to transfer things from DVR hard drive to VHS tapes. And I don't want to have to push the input button everytime I want the VCR to play. I want to play the DVR on input 1 and work the VCR on input 1 if I wish too.
Do I need to buy a splitter? I am unsure what to do. Help!
