My JVC mini dv camcorder is broken & I have no way to view my tapes. Will my tapes play on any mini dv cam?

Can I buy any used mini dv camcorder (on ebay) and they will play. I read a few things online that they may not ????

They should - presuming you recorded using SP mode and not LP mode. If you recorded the tapes in LP mode, that could be a challenge and a JVC miniDV tape based camcorder replacement would be your best bet.
