Is it possible to watch a movie from my Laptop on my TV and record that movie on my DVD Recorder?

My Laptop is a Dell E1505 with Windows Media O/S.
It has the S-Video outlet at the back. My TV is old it only has those analog outlets. (The Red, white and Yellow sockets). My DVD recorder is brand new and has pretty much everything.
My question is, is it possible to play a movie I have saved on my Hard Disk and Play it on my TV and use my DVD recorder to record it onto a DVD disc? If so, what cables do I need and advice on how to hook it up?

S video and headphone to red and whites audio cables from the laptop into the DVD player. Just Plug in the Svideo to the DVD recorder from the laptop. Thats Video. Then plug in the headphone jack end in to the laptops headphone jack and the rca audio end into the DVD recorder

Set the tv on the proper input and set the dvd recorder on the proper output.

Laptop configuration should be on the diplay properties.

Press record and you should be good to go
