Need desperate help installing xubuntu...?

I am trying to install xubuntu on a pretty old sony computer running on windows 98, I did everything you need to do to install it, i downloaded the xubuntu iso for pentium computers and i burned the iso imahe to a cd. I changed the settings so that it would boot from cdd first....The xubuntu installer appears but shortly after a message appears that says;

It is telling you that you are trying to install a 32 bit operating system on a system that requires a 64 bit operating system.

Go back to the website where you downloaded it from and look for a version that says "64 bit" in the file name and download it and try installing it instead.
