Another great place to shop for Surveillance Dvr products is Amazon. They have more than just books! Here are some more information for Surveillance Dvr: The cases of home invasions, or what most people know as home robbery, seem to be rising by the minute. It will seem that this has become popular among crime perpetrators. And did you know? Some experts are claiming that most of such cases happened because homeowners are making it easy for these guys to invade their homes. Another reason, according to them is that their former targets are beefing up their own security. The result: the bad guys turn to easy targets – homes. Basically, a home invasion is being defined as a burglary where the homeowners are present. This is one very dangerous situation since the occupants of the home are at great risk for more serious crime like homicide. But, if you know enough about security, you don’t have to worry about this kind of situation. No, you don’t have to be the real expert on security and stuffs like that. You just have to know the basics and you can rest well. And know that one thing that could really help you prevent home invasion is a surveillance system – a system that comes with a sophisticated and highly reliable surveillance camera. For a simple home security set-up, a 4-channel DVR can adequately provide you with optimum security. Just make sure that the cameras you are getting are compatible to where you plan to install them. Like, if you are planning to install a camera or two outside the house, you should get an outdoor camera. This way, you can be sure that the camera will have longer life because it can adapt to the environment outside. An indoor camera should only be installed inside because it cannot withstand the extremities outside. Now, these cameras, once attached to the DVR, can now monitor the vicinity. You will know who is outside your home – if they are someone you don’t know or are suspicious-looking. This will give you advance warning and even give you time to call the cops. You need to protect your family, your home and your business. And proper knowledge of surveillance and security devices will give you an advantage. There have been many cases where invasions where thwarted because of security devices like the ones mentioned above. Don’t be left out. After all, your life, your family and your investments worth far more than what these security devices will bill. About the Author Can i make a coaxial cable where there is a "BNC" connector on one end, and an "F" connector on the other end? Again, I'm trying to connect a surveillance DVR to an older TV that has only an F connector on the back, and i'm wondering if that would transfer video and/or audio correctly.... it's not that I'm cheap; rather, i face many situations where i have to convert to or from VGA, s-video, DVI, RCA, BNC....etc. Thats why I'm trying to figure out exactly what can be connected to what! Thanks for your answers
The signal that that "F" connector is looking for is called RF, that is: radio frequency, where the audio and video is all mixed together into a "tune-able" VHF or UHF frequency. It is neither video or audio, but a noisy blend of the two - sort of. In other words, NO, you WILL NOT be able to "plug in" your DVR image to that TV if the DVR has no "modulated" RF output of its own. ("Modulated" refers to that process by which the audio and video get mixed into a radio frequency, hence tune-able in the VHF or UHF spectrum.) Wish it weren't so, my friend. Buts dats da fax. Good luck and let me know how it goes! Mace Reports Financial Results for the Fourth Quarter and Year Ended December 31, 2009 Thanks for visiting!
