Another great place to shop for Sony Night products is Amazon. They have more than just books! Here are some more information for Sony Night: The name Sony Ericsson has now been synonymous with Walkman branded phones, but for those who are tired of the orange and white combo handsets, the manufacturer produced a visual treat with Sony Ericsson S500i. The handset comes with distinctive compact aesthetics and clever illuminating effects (apparently "inspired by the Nordic light"). Out of the box, the Sony Ericsson S500i comes with three themes available to the users: clarity, ever changing and day &B night. Amongst all, the ever changing theme is the one that stands out. It comprises of animated wallpapers and illuminated colour menus that change with the time and seasons. In the day, the screen shows a floral wallpaper lit by yellow rays with colored butterflies, appearing at random. While at night, the wallpaper is lit by fireflies flying randomly. More, the wallpaper changes every month to match the seasons with different colour themes. It seems like Sony Ericsson S500i is trying to reinstate an emotional bonding with its users. And to make it more exclusive, the themes are designed in such a manner that they can be exclusively used by the user of Sony Ericsson S500i. The handset comes in two colour schemes: mysterious green and spring yellow. These colour combination also makes the Sony Ericsson S500i akin to being a nature lover. In terms of multimedia capability, the Sony Ericsson S500i is very spartan. It has a basic 2 MP camera and a pretty standard music player. Supported audio formats include MP3, AAC, AAC+, E-AAC+, WAV, WMA and m4a. The internal memory of the handset is around 12MB and users are supplemented with Memory Stick Micro card slot. The Sony Ericsson S500i is rated for up to 9 hours of talk time and 15.4 days on standby. A decent mobile, worth exploring, the Sony Ericsson S500i is sure to stay. About the Author Caitlin Lucy is a Expert Author. She has written good quality articles on Compare Mobile Phones and Contract phones Is night vision (Gen-1) better than Sony "night shot".? How much better is Gen-1 night vision over the sony night shot. I have a sony with night shot and it doesn't really do much outdoors if you are looking at objects further than 10 feet away. You really can not see anything in the night sky accept the moon and 5-10 of the brightest stars in the sky. I dont have a need for these, they are just for fun. Most of the time I will use for astronomy type purposes. Any opions on brand or model ($100-$350). Thanks, I want to build a camera that records meteors and satellites. But I also want to be able to use it if I want to use it for something else. Astronomy Purposes? The only time that I have seen night vision goggles used are for hunting at night which is a very foolish thing to do because if you miss your target, you can't see where, or who, you might have hit accidentally. Sony Ericsson S500i – in Sync With your World
I am not talking about that type of astronomy. I have a C10 and DSLR and other cameras for that.
Also, I do not hunt, but the refile night scopes seem to be the best versions of night vision at a decent price under $600.
I have never seen any Astronomer use any night vision goggles. In fact, they are avoided as we do not want to see things with enhanced lighting. Everything we use in the field are filtered with red lenses to shield us from the light.
Sony last night fired its opening shot in the battle to oust Nintendo's Wii from the world's living rooms with the announcement of a new motion control system for its high-definition games console, the PlayStation 3.
