The projector is designed to sense the video signal it is receiving and process them accordingly. how do I connect a dvd to a fader that only takes VGA????

I have a dvd player (bnc out) and I want to run it into a RGBHV -VGA cable which colour do I use to run the signal though ..

That's impossible to do....BNC is 1 Volt p-p video.....
VGA input is Digital pulses....

NOW you may convert it using RGB input on your fader, but that is a MAJOR conversion!!!
And it's best that you get a powered convertor box to do that....

Do you have RCA composite or Component input/output at all??
SCART? HDMI?
BNC is a "RCA level" signal....so you can use BNC to RCA.....
